Dr. Kelly Clancy
Veterinarian
Dr. Clancy’s love for animals and passion for veterinary medicine began on her grandparents’ Standardbred breeding farm and harness racing training facility. Growing up immersed in animal husbandry, she gained hands-on experience in sports medicine, reproductive care, and surgery. These early experiences caring for sick and injured animals laid the foundation for her lifelong dedication to compassionate veterinary care.
Her professional interests include small animal emergency medicine, critical care, and surgery, with a special focus on managing complex cases such as diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), heat stroke, and airway crises. She is also deeply passionate about physical therapy and rehabilitation, utilizing advanced techniques like underwater treadmill therapy, laser therapy, and acupuncture to support recovery and improve patient outcomes.
Beyond her veterinary work, Dr. Clancy is committed to volunteerism and community outreach. She plays an active role at Orfanato Niñas de Cristo, a children’s orphanage in La Romana, Dominican Republic, where she teaches life skills, offers English courses, and organizes sports clinics. She also collaborates with the David Ortiz Children’s Foundation, helping children in need of life-saving medical procedures.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Clancy cherishes time with her husband, two young children, and their five dogs. Her family is currently restoring an old dairy farm, embracing a farm-centered lifestyle for their children. When she’s not on the farm, you can often find her fly fishing on the river or golfing with her husband.
